Mission

The Academic Advising & Support Center strives to facilitate a positive environment that provides all students with the academic support necessary to foster their success at the Taongi National University and beyond. The center is charged with supporting the academic trajectory of incoming and continuing students as they explore their talents, discover new interests, and learn to navigate the university.

What is Academic Advising?

Academic advising is designed to help students navigate their matriculation and facilitate their understanding of the meaning and purpose of higher education. Each advisor is charged to encourage intellectual and personal development and academic success, and promoting lifelong learning. Academic advising gives students an opportunity to build relationships with professionals who can assist them in planning their educational careers. Through this collaborative educational process, students and advisors partner to develop plans that will help students accomplish academic, personal, and career goals.

  • Develop an educational plan that outlines and leads to timely completion of the selected degree program;
  • Understand academic and administrative policies and procedures;
  • Develop vital critical thinking and independent decision-making skills to make and accept responsibility for academic decisions;
